NBA The Run Release Date Confirmed
NBA The Run, an arcade-style 3v3 street basketball game, will release on June 9, 2026, across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The standard edition is priced at $29.99, with a Deluxe Edition available for $39.99.
Inspired by the classic NBA Street franchise, NBA The Run is designed as a primarily online experience featuring Solos and Squads modes, fast-paced gameplay, rollback netcode, and cross-platform online play. While the game includes a single-player component, multiplayer is the primary focus. The creative director previously worked on all four entries in the original NBA Street series.
The Deluxe Edition includes three unlocked Rookie card variants—Stephen Curry’s 2009 Golden State Warriors rookie, Luka Dončić’s 2018 Dallas Mavericks rookie, and Kevin Durant’s 2007 Seattle SuperSonics rookie—along with 1,000 CRED, the in-game currency. Players can spend CRED in the shop to purchase cosmetic items including alternate jerseys, advanced dunk animations, taunts, badges, and banners.
The game represents a spiritual successor to EA’s NBA Street series, aiming to recapture the arcade basketball experience that defined those titles on earlier console generations.
