Indika developer raises $5M in funding for next project
Odd Meter, the developer behind the narrative-driven game Indika, has secured $5 million in funding to support development of its next project. The funding round was led by GEM Capital and Autotelic Ventures, both of which bring extensive experience in supporting game studios. GEM Capital’s investment portfolio includes notable studios such as Mundfish (Atomic Heart), Sad Cat Studios (Replaced), and Unfrozen (Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era).
The newly acquired funds will be directed toward development of Odd Meter’s unannounced next title. While specific details about the project remain undisclosed, studio game director Dmitry Svetlow indicated that the project has already generated significant interest from potential partners. The studio is currently evaluating multiple publishing offers and has not yet made a final decision regarding who will publish the game, despite 11 Bit Studios having published Indika. Svetlow stated that several offers are on the table, positioning the studio in a strong negotiating position as it considers its publishing partnership for the upcoming project.
