Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide Features Over 300 Gorgeous Pages On The Franchise’s History
The Pokémon Company has announced the upcoming release of the Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide, a comprehensive 336-page book celebrating the franchise’s 30-year history. The publication will become available on August 25, 2026, offering fans a detailed visual and informational resource about the beloved Pokémon universe.
The guide includes coverage spanning the entire Pokémon franchise, from the earliest games in the Kanto region through the most recent entries in Paldea. It features all 1,025 Pokémon catalogued across the series, with artwork and details about their appearances across multiple media formats, including video games, the animated television series and films, and the Trading Card Game. The book also includes a foreword from Pokémon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara.
Two editions are available for purchase. The standard edition retails for $59.99, while a special limited edition is priced at $199.99 and comes in a deluxe box with additional collectibles. The special edition appears to be particularly coveted, as it is already selling out at some retailers ahead of its August release date.
This release aligns with the Pokémon franchise’s 30th-anniversary celebrations, during which The Pokémon Company has launched various anniversary merchandise and commemorative products.
