New Nintendo Switch 2 Bundles Will Let You Beat the Console’s Price Rise and Get a Cheaper Game

Nintendo has announced a new “Choose Your Game” bundle for the Switch 2, launching in early June 2026 at participating North American retailers for $499.99. The bundle allows consumers to select one of three blockbuster games — Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia — included with the console as a digital download code.

The bundle effectively offers savings of $20 to $30 compared to purchasing a game separately. This pricing is strategically timed ahead of Nintendo’s announced price increase, which will raise the standalone Switch 2 console price from $449.99 to $499.99 beginning September 1, 2026. By purchasing the bundle at the current price point, consumers can secure both console and a full game while the original pricing is still available, effectively beating the upcoming price rise.

Nintendo has indicated the bundle will be available for a limited time while supplies last, suggesting availability through the summer months before the September price increase takes effect. This follows a previous Mario Kart World bundle that was available at the console’s launch. The “Choose Your Game” bundle represents an attempt by Nintendo to provide value during the transition to higher pricing, offering consumers flexible game selection options rather than a single bundled title.
