This SSD’s massive 4TB of storage could jumpstart my gaming PC, as SanDisk’s absurd price is finally chipped away
PC gamers facing budget constraints now have a more affordable storage solution. SanDisk’s WD_Black SN850X, a PCIe 4.0 SSD, has been significantly discounted at Amazon, dropping from an initial listing price of $1,701.99 to $653.
The price reduction comes as gaming storage needs continue to grow. Modern AAA titles increasingly demand hundreds of gigabytes of space, leaving minimal room for essential programs on standard drives. This storage crunch has become a practical concern for budget-conscious gamers seeking to expand their PC’s capacity without breaking the bank.
The WD_Black SN850X offers various storage capacity options, with the 4TB variant highlighted as particularly valuable for addressing these growing storage demands. The SSD represents a compelling upgrade path for players struggling with limited drive space, combining the performance benefits of PCIe 4.0 technology with substantial capacity.
This pricing shift addresses what the article describes as an “absurdly” high original asking price, making enterprise-grade storage performance more accessible to consumer PC gamers. As AAA game sizes continue expanding and PC gaming remains financially challenging for budget-limited players, affordable high-capacity SSD options become increasingly important for platform accessibility.
