Nintendo Confirms The Legend of Zelda Amiibo Due Later This Year, Featuring Tears of the Kingdom Character

Nintendo has announced the release of a new Legend of Zelda amiibo figure featuring Mineru’s Construct, the ancient Zonai robot from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The amiibo will be available starting September 17, 2026, priced at $34.99.

Mineru’s Construct is a notable character from Tears of the Kingdom, originally used by Mineru, the Sage of Spirit, and later rebuilt and commanded by Link toward the end of the game’s storyline. The figure marks the first amiibo dedicated to this character, arriving more than three years after the game’s initial May 2023 release, though it also launched on Switch 2 last year.

The amiibo distinguishes itself with fully articulated and posable arms, giving collectors significant freedom in how they display and pose the figure. Nintendo emphasized this flexibility, encouraging users to experiment with different poses that appeal to them.

While the specific reason for the timing remains unclear—with no announcement of an associated marketing campaign or upcoming Zelda project—the reveal coincides with speculation that Nintendo may share significant news regarding the franchise’s future. Mineru’s Construct has recently appeared in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, suggesting the character maintains relevance beyond Tears of the Kingdom.

The announcement was made on May 12, coinciding with the third anniversary of Tears of the Kingdom’s original release, providing a symbolic occasion for the amiibo reveal.
