New 25k Seater ‘London Colosseum’ Arena Plans To Host Esports Finals

Plans have emerged for a new 25,000-capacity indoor arena in London called the ‘London Colosseum,’ which will become the UK’s largest indoor venue. Located at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, the arena will serve multiple purposes as a sports and entertainment destination. While the venue is being developed to host London’s franchise team in the new NBA Europe League, there are significant plans for it to become a major esports hub, with capabilities to host international esports championships and world championship boxing matches.

The location is particularly strategic, as it already has strong connections to esports through the nearby Copper Box arena. The Copper Box has previously hosted major esports tournaments, including the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) Season 5 World Championship and will soon host the Valorant Masters London event next month.

This development signals growing investment in esports infrastructure within the UK, with dedicated large-capacity venues becoming increasingly important for hosting major international tournaments and championships. The 25,000-seat capacity positions the London Colosseum as capable of hosting events on a scale comparable to major esports venues globally.
