Sensor Tower acquires AppMagic
Sensor Tower has acquired AppMagic, a mobile app intelligence platform, in a move aimed at strengthening its small and medium-sized business (SMB) offerings. AppMagic, like Sensor Tower, provides analytics on mobile game and app revenue, downloads, and regional market data—valuable intelligence for studios and independent developers.
The acquisition expands Sensor Tower’s data coverage across mobile, PC, and console platforms, while also incorporating AppMagic’s capabilities into the combined platform. This integration is expected to enhance Live Ops Intelligence features, giving SMBs more comprehensive visibility into the mobile ecosystem and their competitive landscape.
This purchase follows Sensor Tower’s 2024 acquisition of Data.ai, a mobile marketing intelligence firm. Together, these acquisitions reflect ongoing consolidation in the mobile analytics space, as established players seek to expand their service offerings and data coverage to better serve smaller studios and developers who may have previously lacked access to enterprise-grade analytics tools.
