Silent Hill 2 Remake Reaches 6 Million Players as Silent Hill f Hits New Sales Milestone

Konami has successfully revived the Silent Hill franchise with strong performance from its two most recent entries. As of late April 2026, Silent Hill 2 Remake has reached 6 million players, while Silent Hill f has exceeded 2 million sales since its September 2025 launch.

Silent Hill f is particularly significant as the first new mainline entry in the series since 2012’s poorly-received Downfall, ending a 13-year gap. The game has been well-received by critics, earning a 90% score at PC Gamer and being described as a “true return to form” for the franchise. Silent Hill 2 Remake has maintained strong engagement despite being included in PlayStation Plus Extra subscription service for over six months. Prior to its subscription inclusion, the remake had already sold over 2.5 million units independently.

The combined performance of these two titles represents a substantial portion of the franchise’s lifetime sales, with Silent Hill 2 alone accounting for roughly one-quarter of total franchise sales across its entire history. To capitalize on this momentum, Konami is offering a 40% discount on a bundle containing both games. Looking forward, the franchise continues to expand with announced projects including Silent Hill: Townfall and Bloober Team’s remake of the original Silent Hill, ensuring the revival’s momentum will continue.
