Subnautica 2 Will Be Available on GeForce Now
Subnautica 2 will debut in Early Access on May 14, 2026, across PC and Xbox platforms with immediate support for Nvidia GeForce Now cloud gaming. The game will launch simultaneously on Steam, Epic Games Store, and Xbox Game Pass, with the announcement regarding GeForce Now compatibility made on May 13, just one day before release. Early Access will be exclusive to PC and Xbox players initially, with PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 ports planned for a future date, following the example set by the previous Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero releases.
The inclusion of GeForce Now support at launch ensures that subscribers to Nvidia’s cloud gaming service can access the title immediately without waiting for additional ports or updates. Subnautica 2 continues the franchise’s focus on solo gameplay experiences rather than multiplayer mechanics. The staggered platform release reflects a common strategy in the gaming industry, allowing developers to optimize their product for different platforms over an extended development timeline while building momentum through early access periods.
