The Talos Principle 3 is bringing the Serious Sam studio’s acclaimed philosophical puzzle series to an end, and it’s coming soon to PC and PS5

Croteam has officially announced The Talos Principle 3 as the concluding chapter of its acclaimed philosophical puzzle series. The game will release on PC and PS5, with a specific launch date to be revealed later.

Described as an “epic grand finale,” The Talos Principle 3 will continue the narrative threads established in previous installments while delivering what Croteam promises will be a distinct storytelling experience. Players will undertake a cosmic journey across more than a dozen worlds filled with increasingly complex puzzle challenges. The game takes place in “the Anomaly,” a contradictory world of crumbling temples and abandoned science outposts where physics operate abnormally. Players awaken with fragmented memories and must solve puzzles to uncover the reason for their presence.

The announcement teaser emphasizes the series’ characteristic philosophical themes, with narration suggesting narrative finality before stating “But we are not stories”—hinting at existential questions central to the franchise. Since its 2014 debut, The Talos Principle has distinguished itself as one of modern gaming’s most intellectually engaging puzzle series, blending first-person puzzle mechanics with philosophical exploration. Developer Croteam, known for the Serious Sam franchise, has indicated additional details about The Talos Principle 3 will be shared soon.
