Batman Begins In This Week’s Epic Games Store Freebie
The Epic Games Store is offering free PC games this week, including Telltale’s Batman Shadows Edition, which bundles both seasons of Telltale’s acclaimed choice-driven Batman adventure series. The bundle includes Batman: The Telltale Series and its sequel, Batman: The Enemy Within. Both games feature Troy Baker as the voice of Batman and explore the psychological complexities of Bruce Wayne while investigating Gotham City’s corruption.
The Epic Games Store continues its weekly free game promotion, with new titles released every Thursday at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. To claim the free games, users need to create a free Epic account and enable two-factor authentication. Players have one week to add the games to their library before they are replaced by new offerings.
What makes this week’s promotion notable is that Epic Games kept the offerings a mystery until reveal—something the company typically reserves for holiday seasons. The surprise announcement proved worthwhile, as both games included in this week’s giveaway are well-regarded titles. In addition to the Telltale Batman collection, the store is also giving away a hit tabletop RPG game, though specific details about that second title are not yet disclosed.
Since launching the free game initiative, Epic Games has distributed hundreds of free titles to users with no indication the program will end. The company has also expanded the promotion to Android devices, where users can claim a free game weekly as well. This ongoing program remains a significant draw for the Epic Games Store, offering players the opportunity to build their digital library at no cost.
