Forza Horizon 6 Global Release Times, Early Access, and Preload Details Confirmed
Playground Games has confirmed the global release times for Forza Horizon 6, maintaining its original schedule despite a significant security incident. The racing game’s early access launches May 15, with Xbox players on the west coast gaining access on the evening of May 14 to align globally. The full release follows on May 19.
The announcement comes after Forza Horizon 6 suffered a major PC leak that made the game available to pirates before its official launch. In response, Microsoft and Playground Games implemented strict enforcement measures, including issuing lifetime hardware ID bans to those who accessed the leaked version. The breach initially raised questions about whether the leak might trigger an accelerated launch, but developers have decided to proceed with the originally scheduled timeline.
Premium Edition players will receive early access beginning May 15, while Standard Edition owners must wait until May 19. The decision to maintain the planned release schedule despite the leak demonstrates Microsoft and Playground Games’ confidence in their release infrastructure and commitment to their announced dates.
