Metroid Prime 4: Beyond got its first big discount
Metroid Prime 4: Beyond has received its first significant price reduction, with the physical Nintendo Switch version now available for $39.99 at Best Buy—a $20 discount from its $59.99 standard price.
The first-person action game is noted for its impressive graphics on Switch hardware, though it performs considerably better on the Switch 2 console. Players on Switch 2 can purchase a separate $10 upgrade pack that provides higher-resolution textures, faster loading times, and exclusive Joy-Con mouse mode functionality.
For Switch 2 owners, the discounted game plus upgrade pack totals approximately $50, compared to the standard combined $70 price. This marks the first opportunity for players to acquire the title at a reduced cost since launch.
The discount underscores Metroid Prime 4: Beyond’s position as one of the most visually advanced titles on the Switch platform, while demonstrating the performance improvements available on Switch 2 hardware. Nintendo’s upgrade pack strategy highlights their approach of providing enhanced versions for their latest console generation while maintaining backward compatibility.
