NBA The Run’s Second Playtest Features Dozens Of Updates
NBA The Run, the upcoming basketball game from Play by Play Studios, is preparing for its second closed beta playtest scheduled for Saturday, May 16, from 10am to 2pm PT (1pm to 5pm ET). The developer has announced dozens of updates implemented for this test, aimed at refining gameplay mechanics and overall experience.
Key improvements include enhanced dribble and sprint animations, adjusted shooter accuracy reduction when moving, and improved pass arc systems. These updates reflect the studio’s focus on mechanical polish and responsive gameplay ahead of the game’s June 9 release date.
The playtest remains exclusive to PC players at this stage. However, Play by Play Studios confirmed they are working to schedule at least one closed beta specifically for console players before the official launch. This staggered approach allows the team to gather platform-specific feedback and optimize the experience across different systems.
