We’re getting closer to a 100% ROG rig as Asus gets into the DRAM game for its 20th anniversary

Asus has announced its entry into the DRAM market with a new line of memory kits under its Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand, marking the brand’s 20th anniversary with this expansion into PC components. The announcement was made at ROG Day 2026, an event held in China, showcasing new products for the gaming-focused line.

The debut offering is a 48GB dual-channel DDR5 memory kit, developed in collaboration with Biwin, a DRAM manufacturer. The kit is rated for speeds up to 6,000 MHz, positioning it as a high-performance option for demanding gaming and content creation workloads. This release represents Asus’s effort to expand ROG’s ecosystem to encompass more of the PC components that enthusiasts would use to build a complete rig under a single brand umbrella.

However, the company has not committed to making this a permanent product line. Sources suggest the DRAM kit may be a one-off release specifically tied to ROG’s anniversary celebration, meaning it could remain exclusive and not become part of a sustained DRAM product family. This cautious approach allows Asus to test market reception without overcommitting manufacturing resources to the memory market, which is already dominated by established players like Corsair and G.Skill.

The move aligns with Asus’s broader ROG strategy to offer integrated solutions for PC gaming builds, with the brand already establishing a strong presence in motherboards, graphics cards, laptops, and peripherals.
