We haven’t heard anything for months about The Duskbloods and Elden Ring coming to Switch 2, but FromSoftware’s owner insists they’re still coming out this year

FromSoftware’s owner Kadokawa has confirmed that The Duskbloods and Elden Ring will launch on Switch 2 in 2026, providing reassurance after months of silence on both projects. The confirmation came through Kadokawa’s financial report, which listed both titles as “slated for a 2026 release for Switch 2.”

The Duskbloods, an all-new exclusive franchise for FromSoftware, was announced last April but has received no updates since. The game will support up to eight players competing against each other and AI challenges. This multiplayer-focused title represents a new direction for the studio known for single-player action RPGs like Dark Souls and Elden Ring.

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, the enhanced Switch 2 version of the 2022 critically acclaimed title, completes FromSoftware’s planned 2026 Switch 2 releases. The port aims to bring Hidetaka Miyazaki’s dark fantasy world to Nintendo’s next-generation hardware.

The extended silence surrounding these projects had left their status uncertain, making Kadokawa’s financial confirmation a significant update for Nintendo Switch 2 fans. With both titles targeting a 2026 release, FromSoftware has approximately seven months remaining to deliver on these announcements.
