Endix Is Turning Digital Game Showcases Into a Playable Experience

Endix is transforming the digital game showcase format by creating an interactive, playable experience rather than a passive viewing event. The upcoming Endix Showcase, scheduled for May 23–24 and launching on Steam and the Epic Games Store, represents a departure from traditional livestreams and trailer-focused presentations that dominate industry events.

Instead of watching from the sidelines, participants download the Endix application, create personalized avatars, and explore a fully immersive virtual event environment built using Unreal Engine. This approach positions the experience closer to an actual gaming convention rather than a video broadcast, offering attendees genuine interactivity and exploration.

The platform is the brainchild of creators Nikos Perifanis and Daniel Thorsen, who envision Endix as a new model for how the gaming industry presents upcoming titles and announcements. By combining the reach and accessibility of digital platforms with the engaging atmosphere of in-person events, Endix attempts to bridge a gap that has existed since the rise of online showcases.

The timing is notable as the gaming industry enters its busiest season for announcements and reveals. With summer game festivals and publisher showcases becoming increasingly crowded with similar events, Endix’s interactive approach offers a distinctive alternative. Rather than competing for viewer attention through traditional streaming metrics, the platform leverages Unreal Engine’s capabilities to create a compelling destination experience.
