Forza Horizon 6’s First Festival Playlist Rewards Revealed, Begins May 21

Forza Horizon 6 launched its Festival Playlist system on May 21, introducing a live-service framework that will provide regular new content throughout the game’s lifecycle. The feature rolled out following the game’s premium edition early access period, with standard edition availability beginning May 19.

The inaugural Series 1, titled “Welcome to Japan,” runs from May 21 through June 18 and makes ten free reward cars available to players. The vehicle roster features a collection of Japanese sports cars and performance vehicles, including the 1999 Toyota Altezza RS200 Z Edition, 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR, 1997 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec, and 1991 Honda CR-X SiR. Each car can be earned by accumulating points during specific in-game seasons, with point requirements ranging from 20 to 40 per vehicle.

The Festival Playlist system transforms Forza Horizon 6 into a full live-service title, with developer Playground Games committing to regular weekly content updates beyond Series 1’s initial offerings. This approach ensures players have a continuous stream of challenges, rewards, and new vehicles to pursue throughout their gameplay experience.

The focus on Japanese vehicles in the inaugural series aligns with Forza Horizon 6’s Japan-based setting, providing thematic consistency as players explore the fictional open world. The tiered point structure encourages engagement with multiple seasonal challenges, as different vehicles require participation across Summer and Autumn seasons to complete the full collection.

This live-service model represents Playground Games’ strategy to maintain player engagement and provide long-term value beyond the base game experience. The weekly content drops promise expanded vehicle rosters, challenges, and seasonal events that will evolve the game over time.
