Pokémon Go Deino Community Day Classic event guide
Pokémon Go is hosting Deino Community Day Classic on Saturday, May 16, from 2 to 5 p.m. in players’ local time zones. This event is a replay of the original Deino Community Day that took place in June 2022, bringing back the dark- and dragon-type Pokémon for a limited-time event.
During the three-hour window, Deino will spawn at significantly increased rates, giving players abundant opportunities to encounter and catch the creature. The event features a notably elevated shiny rate, with research from The Silph Road indicating that Community Days typically have approximately a 1 in 24 shiny encounter rate. This means dedicated players who participate throughout the full three-hour duration should encounter multiple shiny Pokémon during the event.
The Community Day includes various bonuses and perks to enhance gameplay. For players with limited time or Poké Ball supplies, Pokémon Go provides the option to use Incense during the event to increase encounter rates further.
As a Community Day Classic event, this marks another opportunity for players to obtain or expand their collections of Deino and its evolution line, catering to both veteran players seeking shiny variants and newer players seeking to catch this popular dark- and dragon-type Pokémon.
