This year saw record-breaking participation with more than 515 submissions, marking the second consecutive year of record entries. The selected projects focus on addressing critical global issues aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, leveraging real-time 3D technology to create impact in areas including health, rehabilitation, and environmental literacy.
Recipients of the grant funding can utilize the support across various stages of their projects—from development and prototyping through to marketing and distribution. This reflects Unity’s commitment to supporting developers creating socially impactful experiences beyond traditional gaming. The continued growth in submissions and global participation demonstrates increasing recognition of real-time 3D technology’s potential to address humanitarian challenges.
