New inFAMOUS PS5 Project Rumours Give Fans Fresh Hope
VGC journalist Jordan Middler has reported that a new inFAMOUS project is currently in development at PlayStation, with the project not being led by Sucker Punch, the series’ original developer. According to Middler’s statement during VGC’s latest podcast episode, he is “under the impression that there is an inFAMOUS thing happening somewhere else in PlayStation at the minute.”
When pressed for clarification during a subsequent appearance on the Kinda Funny Gamescast, Middler acknowledged that his report is based on a single source that he has not yet been able to corroborate independently. This early-stage reporting means significant uncertainty remains about the exact nature of the project.
Based on the information from his source, Middler speculated that the project could be a remake of the two original PS3 inFAMOUS games. However, whether it is a new game, a remake, or another type of project remains unconfirmed. This represents the first indication that PlayStation may be revisiting the inFAMOUS franchise, which has been largely dormant since the PS4-era spinoff inFAMOUS Second Son released in 2014.
