Sink your teeth into V Rising for free this weekend, and you can grab the full game for less than half price
V Rising, a vampire-themed survival game developed by Stunlock Studios, is currently available for free on Steam through Monday. Players can experience the full game without cost during this promotional weekend, with a significant discount available on purchase afterward—more than half off the regular price for those who want to continue playing.
The game combines traditional survival mechanics with a vampire narrative. Players take on the role of a vampire awakening after centuries of dormancy, tasked with restoring their former power and glory. Core gameplay involves exploring, gathering resources, and building bases, reimagined through the lens of vampire restoration. The game has been noted as one of the better “survival game, but” experiences in recent years, taking familiar survival game tropes and recontextualizing them within its unique vampire setting.
This free weekend promotion offers a low-risk opportunity for potential players to try the game before deciding whether to purchase. The substantial discount on the full version creates an incentive for those who enjoy the free period to complete their purchase during the promotional window.
