Winhanced 0.9.6.5 rolls out low‑power downloads and key Legion Go fixes, improving handheld gaming life
Winhanced, a Windows gaming launcher that aggregates games from multiple libraries including Steam, has released version 0.9.6.5 with several improvements targeting handheld gaming devices. The update introduces a new low-power download mode, a feature specifically designed to help extend battery life on portable gaming systems during game downloads. The release also includes refreshed icons for improved visual presentation and targeted fixes that specifically address issues reported on the Lenovo Legion Go, Lenovo’s Windows-based handheld gaming device. These improvements are part of Winhanced’s broader effort to provide a more polished and user-friendly alternative to Microsoft’s current gaming platform offerings, including the Xbox App and Xbox Mode. The addition of a low-power download feature is particularly significant for handheld gaming enthusiasts who typically operate on limited battery capacity. By reducing power consumption during downloads without compromising download speeds or functionality, Winhanced enables users to maximize their gaming time between charges. The Legion Go-specific fixes further demonstrate the developers’ commitment to supporting emerging handheld gaming hardware, positioning Winhanced as a go-to launcher for users seeking a consolidated gaming experience across multiple storefronts.
