The Adventures Of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Just Got A New Demo Ahead Of Launch

Square Enix has released a new Prologue Demo for The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, an upcoming action-RPG developed by the creative team behind Octopath Traveler and Bravely Default. The demo is now available on Switch 2 and multiple other platforms, allowing players to experience the game’s opening chapter before the full release next month.

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales combines HD-2D visuals with real-time action-adventure gameplay, continuing Square Enix’s successful line of HD-2D role-playing games that balance nostalgic appeal with modern aesthetics. The game follows protagonist Elliot and his fairy companion Faie as they embark on a thousand-year mission to lift a curse placed on Princess Heuria of Huther.

The game’s core mechanics feature intuitive and rewarding action-based combat encounters, complemented by strategic support abilities provided by Faie. As part of their quest, players will explore different historical periods, ranging from humanity’s conflict-ridden Age of Reconstruction to eras of great prosperity, creating a diverse range of settings and gameplay scenarios.

One notable feature of the demo is the ability to carry save data from the Prologue Demo over to the full version of the game upon launch. This encourages players to invest in the demo experience while guaranteeing their progress will persist, a common practice for HD-2D titles.
