Forza Horizon 6 Global Release Times and Preload Details Confirmed
Forza Horizon 6’s global release schedule has been officially confirmed by developer Playground Games, following the game’s significant PC security breach prior to its planned launch. The racing title will launch with early access on May 15, progressing to a full release on May 18, with day-one availability on Xbox Game Pass (PC and Ultimate) starting May 19.
The premature leak had distributed the game to piracy networks before its intended release, prompting Playground Games and Microsoft to implement protective measures, including permanent hardware ID bans for those who accessed the unauthorized version. Despite initial speculation that the security incident might force an accelerated launch date or other schedule adjustments, the developers maintained their original timeline unchanged.
As a first-party Microsoft title, Forza Horizon 6’s simultaneous launch on Game Pass across PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions underscores Microsoft’s commitment to its subscription service strategy. The company’s decision to proceed with scheduled release dates reflects confidence in managing the leak’s impact and protecting the game’s commercial viability.
