Team Heretics Score First Domestic Title in VCT EMEA Classic
Team Heretics won their first domestic Tier 1 Valorant trophy, defeating Team Vitality in the VCT EMEA Stage 1 Grand Final in a thrilling five-map series. The victory marks a significant breakthrough for the organization, ending their history of runner-up finishes in VCT competition while building on their 2025 EWC championship.
The Grand Final showcased competitive excellence across the extended series, with both teams trading momentum throughout. Vitality demonstrated remarkable resilience on Breeze, recovering from a 5-1 deficit to level the map at 7-7, with Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov delivering impactful plays that secured their first map victory. However, Heretics maintained their composure through the grueling five-map encounter to ultimately claim the championship.
The series required both organizations to execute at the highest level, with map control and individual performances determining crucial rounds. This victory establishes Team Heretics as a legitimate contender among Europe’s elite Valorant teams, combining their VCT Stage 1 success with their earlier EWC triumph to position them well for future international competition.
