The Feedback Resonator is an upgrade in Subnautica 2 that enhances the Sonic Resonator gadget by converting it into a projectile-firing device. This upgrade becomes essential when exploring the Alien Ruins, where players encounter small viral flowers in the Angel Comb area that close when approached, making them impossible to destroy with the standard Resonator’s close-range functionality.
To obtain the Feedback Resonator upgrade, players must locate and scan two Feedback Resonators found in the glowing green abyssal pool area containing Metal Farms, situated approximately 870 meters away at a bearing of roughly 75 degrees northeast. Once both devices are scanned, players unlock the blueprint for crafting the upgrade.
While the Tadpole Depth module is required to obtain this upgrade, players have the flexibility to pursue it at any point during their playthrough once they have access to the necessary scanning equipment.
