Summer Games Done Quick Returns In July, Full Schedule Released

Games Done Quick (GDQ) has announced the complete schedule for Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) 2026, its annual speedrunning marathon event. Taking place July 5-11 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, SGDQ will continue supporting Doctors Without Borders, an international medical humanitarian organization that provides assistance in areas affected by disease outbreaks, conflicts, and other humanitarian crises. The event’s fundraising impact has proven significant, with last year’s SGDQ raising $2.4 million for the organization.

The event features a curated collection of speedrunning races and performances from the gaming community. Among the highlighted showcases is Super Mario 64’s 120 Star TAS (tool-assisted) speedrun, which represents GDQ’s inaugural tool-assisted speedrun of the classic game. Another featured performance includes a Total Nuclear Annihilation pinball speedrun by accomplished runner Ryan McSquid, who will explain and demonstrate the advanced techniques used in competitive pinball speedrunning throughout his run.

The full event schedule is accessible through the official Games Done Quick website, allowing viewers and participants to plan their attendance or viewing schedule ahead of the July event.
