SWERY & SUDA51’s ‘Hotel Barcelona’ Is Coming To Switch 1 & 2 “Soon”

Hotel Barcelona, a collaborative action roguelite developed by SWERY and SUDA51, is coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The announcement was made alongside the release of the game’s Late Check-Out DLC expansion. While no specific release date has been provided, the developers have confirmed the port is “coming soon.”

Originally launching in September 2025 on other platforms, the Switch versions will feature a complete package including all DLC content and gameplay updates released to date. This includes the significant “Under New Management” overhaul, which addressed various gameplay issues and criticisms that arose from the game’s original launch. The Switch versions will be priced at $34.99.

The game is being published by Eden Industries. Hotel Barcelona represents a notable collaboration between two influential Japanese developers: SWERY, known for titles like Deadly Premonition, D4, and The Missing, and SUDA51, the creative force behind Killer7 and other distinctive titles. The side-on perspective and roguelite mechanics position it as an action-focused experience in the vein of their previous experimental work.

Currently, no physical release has been announced for the Switch versions, though the publishers have indicated they will provide further details as development progresses.
