BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City Breaks R6 Major Viewership Record

The BLAST R6 Major Salt Lake City has set a new viewership record for Rainbow Six Siege competitive play. According to Esports Charts, the tournament became the most-watched Rainbow Six Siege Major in history by Hours Watched, accumulating 7,703,132 hours watched over its eleven-day run. This surpassed viewership for all previous Majors and the prestigious 2018 Six Invitational tournament.

DarkZero Esports claimed victory, defeating fellow North American team Shopify Rebellion 3-1 in the Grand Finals in front of their home crowd in Salt Lake City. The tournament also ranked as the third most-viewed Major by peak viewership, reaching 247,776 concurrent viewers at its height.

Tournament organizers credited the new format with driving the record-breaking engagement. Hours Watched is a critical metric in esports, combining both the number of engaged viewers and their viewing duration—making it more comprehensive than peak viewership alone for understanding overall tournament reach and audience investment.
