UK publisher EdCorp breaks cover after signing Garbage Country
EdCorp, a new UK-based indie publisher and developer, has announced its formation with a mission to support small, creatively driven teams worldwide. The company was founded by former Coatsink shareholders and founders Eddie Beardsmore, Tom Beardsmore, Paul Crabb, and Simon Launder.
The publisher will focus on funding, marketing, and developing original and licensed titles for PC and console platforms. EdCorp has positioned itself with developer-friendly terms, offering what the company describes as “fair, dev-focused” partnership agreements to independent studios globally. This approach represents an alternative to traditional publisher models that have faced industry criticism for unfavorable indie developer terms.
EdCorp’s debut signing is Garbage Country, demonstrating the company’s readiness to bring projects to market. The publisher aims to support independent teams in creating new gaming experiences across multiple platforms, positioning itself as an advocate for developers seeking more equitable partnerships.
