Rumour: Genshin Impact’s ‘HoYoverse’ Account System Supposedly Adds Switch Support

Evidence of Genshin Impact support for Nintendo Switch has reportedly been discovered in a recent game build, reigniting speculation about a potential Switch port of the popular open-world action RPG. According to reports by Universo Nintendo editor Felipe Lima, code referencing a HoYoverse account login system for Nintendo users was uncovered, though there has been no official confirmation from HoYoverse or miHoYo regarding any planned Switch release.

Genshin Impact remains unavailable on Nintendo Switch despite the game’s widespread success across PC, PlayStation, and mobile platforms. HoYoverse, the company responsible for publishing and distributing miHoYo’s titles outside of China, has not announced plans to bring the game to Nintendo’s hardware. Beyond Genshin Impact, HoYoverse also distributes other miHoYo releases including Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero.

The discovery comes at a notable time, with Nintendo’s newly released Switch 2 attracting developer interest and potentially opening opportunities for ports of major titles. Whether this account system evidence represents active development or merely exploratory work remains unclear, and any Switch release should be considered speculative until officially confirmed by HoYoverse.
