PlayStation State of Play on 2nd June: What Are You Hoping for at the 60+ Minute Show?

Sony has announced a State of Play showcase event scheduled for June 2, 2026. The over 60-minute livestream will feature a major focus on Marvel’s Wolverine, the upcoming exclusive action-adventure game developed by Insomniac Games, which releases on PlayStation 5 on September 15, 2026.

The showcase will open with an extended look at Marvel’s Wolverine, showcasing the game’s combat mechanics and providing new details about Logan’s gameplay. Beyond the featured title, Sony plans to present “updates, announcements, and gameplay reveals from top studios around the world,” indicating a diverse slate of PS5 games will be highlighted throughout the presentation.

The State of Play will broadcast on June 2 at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET / 10 p.m. BST / 11 p.m. CEST, with additional time slots across other regions. The stream will be available on PlayStation’s official YouTube and Twitch channels.

In a notable move, Sony is hosting theatrical screenings of the State of Play at Alamo Drafthouse Cinema locations across the United States—in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Raleigh, and San Francisco. This marks the first time Sony has broadcast a State of Play presentation in theaters since E3 2018. Attendees will have access to themed menus and exclusive giveaways during the theatrical experience.

The announcement positions PlayStation as the opening event of the summer gaming showcase season, occurring alongside Summer Game Fest and the Xbox Games Showcase 2026.
