TSMC employees can now buy company-branded shoes modelled by CEO C.C. Wei, or a chip-themed rice cooker with a ‘wafer-shaped steaming plate’
TSMC employees now have access to a unique selection of company-branded merchandise through a new self-funded gift program offering six different options at NT$2,200 (approximately US$70) each. The offerings represent an unusual blend of corporate branding and practical products designed to appeal to the company’s workforce.
The most distinctive item available is a pair of TSMC-branded shoes modeled by Chief Executive Officer C.C. Wei, who wore them during the company’s sports meet in November. The shoes serve as a symbolic representation of the company’s leadership and have become a notable collector’s item among employees.
Beyond the CEO-endorsed footwear, the merchandise selection includes several other creative options. A chip-themed rice cooker featuring a wafer-shaped steaming plate represents a more functional approach to corporate branding, merging TSMC’s semiconductor focus with everyday kitchen appliances. The program also offers Eminent brand carry-on suitcases and ASO sneakers as additional purchasing options, providing employees with choices across different categories.
This merchandise initiative reflects a broader trend among major technology and manufacturing companies to strengthen employee engagement and company loyalty through branded goods. For TSMC workers, the offerings provide tangible connections to their workplace identity while fostering corporate culture beyond traditional benefits.
