Ubisoft’s net bookings are down 54% year-on-year
Ubisoft reported a 54 percent year-on-year decline in net bookings for fiscal year 2025-26, reflecting significant challenges in the publisher’s financial performance. Despite the substantial full-year decline, Q4 results exceeded expectations with net bookings reaching €415 million (approximately $482 million), surpassing guidance of €390 million ($453 million).
The company attributed the strong Q4 performance to the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows and significantly higher revenue from partnership deals. CEO Yves Guillemot framed the fiscal year as a period of major organizational change, describing it as “one of the most ambitious transformations in the company’s history.” Ubisoft stated it is working to build a “more focused, agile, and disciplined organization” aimed at consistently delivering high-quality gaming experiences.
The sharp year-on-year decline underscores the difficulties Ubisoft has encountered in maintaining publishing performance amid broader industry shifts. However, the better-than-expected Q4 results suggest potential momentum recovery heading into the next fiscal period, driven primarily by major franchise releases and successful partnership arrangements.
