Valorant gets Anti-Lag 2 but after testing it I don’t think users with high-end AMD rigs should crack open the champagne

Valorant now offers Anti-Lag 2 support for AMD graphics card users, bringing latency-reducing technology to players with RDNA-generation GPUs (6000-series and newer). The feature, which rolled out in patch 12.09 over a week ago, provides AMD users with capabilities comparable to Nvidia’s Reflex technology. However, the feature is not enabled by default—players must manually toggle it on in the Graphics settings menu.

Testing by the author using Nvidia’s Latency and Display Analysis Tool (LDAT) revealed that the benefits of Anti-Lag 2 are highly system-dependent, meaning that performance improvements will vary considerably across different hardware configurations. This suggests that while the feature is available to compatible AMD GPU owners, not all users will experience the same level of latency reduction.

The update represents a significant development for AMD users in competitive gaming, as latency reduction has become increasingly important in Valorant. This brings AMD hardware owners closer to feature parity with Nvidia users, who have had access to similar latency-reducing technologies for an extended period.
