Two-and-a-Half New Cars Added to Wreckfest 2 in Latest Early Access Update
Wreckfest 2 received its seventh major update since launching in Steam Early Access in March 2025, introducing substantial new features and content. The update adds a new US-based track location that includes three variations—an oval track and traditional circuit layouts, expanding the game’s racing environments.
The vehicle roster grows with two completely new cars and one novelty addition. The Stahlwagen, inspired by a turn-of-the-century Mercedes-Benz E-Class wagon, and the Valken, based on the 1990s iteration of the Saab 900, join the lineup as fully-fledged vehicles. The tongue-in-cheek “Half a Crusader” rounds out the additions as a chopped, half-destroyed variant of the existing Crusader (Chevrolet Cavalier-inspired vehicle) that’s dragged around by its front wheels.
Beyond new content, the update delivers significant mechanical improvements. The vehicle physics system receives major upgrades, while the destruction and damage mechanics have been substantially enhanced, reinforcing Wreckfest 2’s signature focus on dynamic, destructible vehicle interactions. The update also introduces an in-depth tuning system, allowing players more granular control over vehicle setup and performance.
Additionally, a new race mode has been added to the game’s variety of competitive options, providing fresh gameplay experiences for both casual players and those seeking new competitive challenges.
