Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 overview and the Festival Playlist challenges this week
Forza Horizon 6’s Series 1, titled “Welcome to Japan,” has officially launched as the game’s first live service seasonal event. Running from May 21 through June 18, the series introduces a structured Festival Playlist system organized across four weekly playlists, each lasting seven days before rotating to new challenges. This represents Forza’s approach to seasonal content, functioning similarly to battle pass systems in other live service games.
Players participate in Festival Playlist activities to accumulate points and unlock exclusive rewards, including cars, in-game credits, and cosmetics. The headline reward for Series 1 is the exclusive Mazda Furai, alongside numerous other collectible vehicles available only during this seasonal window. Earning these rewards requires players to complete the week’s assigned playlist challenges and activities.
When Series 1 concludes on June 18, it will be replaced by Series 2: Horizon Decades, continuing the game’s ongoing live service rotation. While Forza Horizon 6’s core gameplay is generally straightforward, the Festival Playlist system is designed to engage players throughout the four-week series. The weekly refresh cycle keeps content fresh while the limited-time exclusive vehicles incentivize regular participation. This structure allows both casual and dedicated players to engage at their own pace.
