No, GTA 6 Is Not Delayed Again And Still Set To Launch This November

Take-Two Interactive has reaffirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI will launch on November 19, 2026, dispelling speculation about another delay. The announcement came during the company’s fiscal year 2026 earnings call, where CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed confidence in the release date, calling GTA 6 “the most anticipated entertainment property of all time.”

GTA 6’s path to launch has been marked by two previous delays—first from 2023 to May 2026, then to November 2026. However, Take-Two’s confidence appears substantive: the company is forecasting $7.9 to $8.1 billion in revenue for its next fiscal year, with GTA 6 driving what executives expect will be “new record levels of operating performance.” This financial commitment suggests the publisher is confident in the November date.

Take-Two plans to launch a “very significant broad-based marketing campaign” beginning in summer 2026, with pre-orders expected to follow. The company notably declined to reveal the game’s price during the earnings call, with Zelnick stating that pricing will never be disclosed in analyst briefings, leaving the retail cost as one of gaming’s biggest open questions.

Take-Two also emphasized GTA’s enduring commercial strength, noting that Grand Theft Auto V has sold 225 million copies since its 2013 launch and continues generating significant revenue through GTA Online. This demonstrates the franchise’s monetization potential and provides context for expected live-service elements in GTA 6.

The game is confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PC launch plans remain unannounced.
