New ‘Paradox Drive’ Expansion Coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket
Pokémon TCG Pocket is receiving a new expansion called Paradox Drive (B3a), set to launch on May 27 at 6pm PT. The expansion, based on Generation 9 Pokémon games Scarlet and Violet, introduces Paradox Pokémon—variations of Pokémon from previous generations—alongside new Ancient and Future subcategories. Featured cards include Koraidon ex and Miraidon ex.
Paradox Pokémon were originally introduced in Scarlet and Violet, where players encountered these creatures as either Ancient or Future versions depending on which game version they played. In the TCG mobile game, these mechanically distinct variants will expand the available card pool and strategic options for players.
The release follows Pokémon TCG Pocket’s established monthly expansion schedule, typically arriving toward month’s end on Wednesdays. The game has maintained a consistent cadence of new content releases, contributing to its ongoing success during Pokémon’s 30th anniversary year. The Paradox Drive expansion continues the pattern of bringing mainline game mechanics and creature designs into the digital trading card experience.
