Lara Croft Returns In This Week’s Epic Games Store Freebie
The Epic Games Store is offering free games this week, with Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered and Down in Bermuda available for a limited time. Notably, this week’s offerings were not announced in advance, marking an unusual surprise from Epic Games that they typically reserve for holiday seasons.
Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered is a collection that brings together Lara Croft’s first three adventures with enhanced visuals. Players have the option to enjoy the games with upgraded graphics or switch back to the original presentation for a nostalgic experience. Beyond visual improvements, the remastered collection includes additional content such as a photo mode, new outfit options, and a challenge mode featuring customizable modifiers.
The Epic Games Store continues its ongoing free game program, which has distributed hundreds of free titles since its inception. New games are typically made available every Thursday at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, and players have one week to claim each freebie before new offerings replace them. To participate, players simply need to create a free Epic Games account and enable two-factor authentication. The program has also expanded to Android devices, allowing mobile users to claim free games on a weekly basis.
