Ubisoft working on new Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Ghost Recon, and ‘first playable’ gen-AI experience

Ubisoft’s 2025-26 earnings report confirms the development of new entries in three major franchises: Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Ghost Recon. All three games are scheduled for release by March 2029, forming the cornerstone of Ubisoft’s anticipated recovery strategy. The publisher expects a “strong rebound” beginning in fiscal year 2027, heavily dependent on the success of these releases.

In a notable expansion of its gaming portfolio, Ubisoft is also developing what it describes as the “first playable Generative AI experience.” This project represents the publisher’s experimental venture into integrating generative AI directly into interactive entertainment, reflecting broader industry trends toward AI integration in games.

Q4 performance demonstrated the strength of Ubisoft’s existing library, with strong results across Rainbow Six Siege, The Division 2, Assassin’s Creed, Avatar, The Crew, and For Honor. These results provide momentum heading into the next fiscal period.

The multi-year development timeline suggests Ubisoft is prioritizing quality and long-term franchise sustainability rather than rushing releases to market. This approach aligns with the publisher’s recent restructuring efforts.
