Expedition 33’s Esquie Gets The Nendoroid Treatment
Award-winning game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is expanding into the collectible figure market with an official Nendoroid of Esquie, one of the game’s most beloved characters. The Japanese toy manufacturer Good Smile Company is producing the poseable figure, which will be available for preorder at $46 and released between April and June 2027.
Esquie, known for his round appearance and playful personality, is a perfect fit for the Nendoroid style. The figure offers customization options, including a removable headband and the ability to pose Esquie alongside François, another character from the game. The interactive nature of the accessory references Esquie’s role in the game, where his relationship with François is a notable gameplay element.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 achieved critical acclaim in 2025, winning numerous Game of the Year awards, including recognition from GameSpot. The game’s cast of well-developed, endearing characters has resonated strongly with fans, making character-based merchandise like this Nendoroid a natural extension of the franchise’s popularity.
