Best new Xbox Game Pass games to play on Memorial Day Weekend
Xbox Game Pass continues its robust May release schedule with several standout new titles arriving this week. The service’s first and second waves of monthly additions include Mixtape and Forza Horizon 6, with the latter already establishing itself as one of 2026’s best games.
Forza Horizon 6 brings racing gameplay to a breathtaking cherry-blossom-filled Japan setting. The game features an unexpected highlight: a Gundam racing experience that has generated particular excitement among anime enthusiasts and players seeking unique crossover content. This partnership exemplifies the franchise’s ability to blend traditional racing mechanics with cultural and entertainment collaborations.
The timing of these releases coincides with the Memorial Day holiday weekend, providing Xbox Game Pass subscribers extended playtime to explore the platform’s expanded catalog. May has proven to be a notably strong month for new game releases industry-wide, and Xbox Game Pass is leveraging this momentum to deliver compelling experiences across multiple genres to its subscribers.
