Fortnite Shattered — Latest End of Season Event Announced
Fortnite’s Chapter 7: Season 2 is concluding with a major live event called “Shattered,” scheduled for June 5 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The event will serve as an epilogue to the season and wrap up the ongoing storyline between the Foundation and the Ice King. This marks the first large-scale live event since “Collision” ended Chapter 3: Season 2, which previously caused brief game unavailability.
Details about the Shattered event remain limited, including its duration and specific in-game location. The live event continues Epic Games’ tradition of major in-game events to punctuate seasonal conclusions.
The event announcement coincides with significant legal developments. The prolonged dispute between Apple and Epic Games appears to be reaching resolution, with Fortnite making a return to Apple’s App Store. This represents a major milestone in the high-profile legal battle that has shaped industry discussions around app distribution and platform policies.
The combination of the seasonal finale and app store return signals important transitions for Fortnite’s live-service operations and platform availability.
