First Major Update for PS5’s NTE Will Let You Mute Its Worst Character

NTE, a free-to-play open world game developed by Chinese studio Hotta, is receiving its first major update on June 3rd. The patch brings both quality-of-life improvements and substantial new content to the PS5 title.

The most notable feature addresses persistent community feedback: players will be able to mute Taygedo, an otter character whose repetitive voice lines have frustrated the playerbase. This accessibility option reflects developer responsiveness to player concerns.

The update also introduces a notable Porsche collaboration, enabling players to unlock the Porsche 918 Spyder supercar and an accompanying Zero-themed outfit. These cosmetics will be obtainable through a new gacha system accepting either Annulith or Fons, the game’s primary in-game currencies.

Additionally, the patch expands the game world with Sunward Island, a new explorable location, and introduces the Dreamwalk Corridor, a fresh story mission. These content additions continue NTE’s live-service approach, with regular updates designed to maintain engagement and provide progression opportunities for its playerbase.
