Vampire: The Masquerade’s next tabletop game will have a ‘strong commitment to human-made work’

White Wolf has announced a new Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop RPG project currently in development. The announcement was made during a panel at Darkness Emergent 2026 on May 22, with creative director Jess Lanzillo confirming the project is underway.

A significant focus of the announcement is the studio’s commitment to using human-made artwork rather than AI-generated imagery, positioning itself against industry trends toward generative art. The game’s design emphasizes player agency, collaboration, and creating personalized experiences for players.

More details will be revealed during “The Future of White Wolf” panel at Gen Con 2026, where the studio will also host an Actual Play playtest session. This is the first official confirmation of a new mainline Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop project in some time.
