Xbox Ships Its First Mini-Feature In Response To Player Voice Feedback
Xbox has implemented its first feature based on player feedback through the newly launched Xbox Player Voice program. The request to change how playtime is calculated on Xbox consoles ranked ninth on the program’s top 10 list, asking for playtime to be displayed in total hours rather than days.
The feature has now been added to the Xbox platform, beginning with Alpha Xbox Insider members who received the update today. Microsoft plans to roll out the change to additional Insider members over time, with PC support coming soon.
The Xbox Player Voice program collects and ranks feature requests directly from the Xbox community, allowing players to vote on improvements they’d like to see. This implementation marks the first successful delivery of a feature from the program, demonstrating Xbox’s commitment to responding to fan feedback. The rapid turnaround from the request appearing in the top 10 to implementation suggests Xbox is actively monitoring and prioritizing community input for platform improvements.
