Dave Filoni’s Mandalorian and Grogu cameo is a reminder of Star Wars’ biggest failure
Dave Filoni, Lucasfilm co-CEO and creative architect of The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, makes a cameo appearance in The Mandalorian and Grogu as Trapper Wolf, a New Republic pilot. Filoni reprises the minor role he previously played in The Mandalorian and appears twice in the film, distinctively wearing a wide-brimmed cowboy hat—an unusual accessory for the Star Wars universe. Though primarily known for his behind-the-scenes creative leadership, Filoni continues to make on-screen appearances in Star Wars projects despite having limited acting experience.
